Default 2015 750 stuck in first

Greetings, trying to help my brother trouble shoot an issue with his 2015 hd street 750.
Stuck in first, shift lever seems to be loose internally? Clutch is adjusted and seems to be functioning just fine. Suggestions?
( first post here, apologies if i am being the fng )

Does the shift move when you try to change gear ? If it moves look to see is the shaft moving ? Busy right now but I will post some pictures of the shaft inside the cover and the shift it self.

DreadShoes' Brother with the 750 here.

I think the shift shaft moves as much as it normally would; the shift arm doesn't feel stuck, it just isn't grabbing anything inside the transmission. Everything looks like it's moving correctly on the outside.

The clutch seems like it's working fine. The bike is still when the clutch is held in, but if I let the clutch out the bike is stuck in gear. Worth noting, we did disconnect then reconnect the clutch cable when replacing handlebars last weekend.

I've tried letting the clutch out a little while trying to shift, moving the bike a little while trying to shift, and nothing's worked so far. Could it be a problem with the shifter pawl? (I'm pretty new to the maintenance side of things.)

Thanks for your help!

This occurred to me on the highway! Fortunately bike was still under warranty and they did a warranty repair for me.
