Default Help with Rear Turn signal bulbs

Hi all, I am looking to replace my wifes2018 XG 750 rear turn signals to LED. The bike was bought here in Canada so is the North American model.
Right now the bike is in for it's annual inspection etc so I thought I would ask this here. Are the turn signal bulbs in the rear, 1156 or 1157?
My plan is to buy the Custom Dynamics triple play and relay replacement and purchase the round LED sets from Amazon Canada with can be either 1157 or 1156.
My understanding is I have to replace the rear turn signal lenses from Amber to Red as the triple play makes them run turn and brake in conjunction with the LED brake light.

Anyone know which these are, 1156 bulbs or 1157?

It'll be marked on the bulb. Look at one.

Asked Harley to pull them, not even 1156 or 1157, they are 7506 bulbs, different from normal incandescent turn signals.

The 7506 (or P21W) is a single filament, similar in configuration to the 1156. The 1156 is 26.9 watts at 2.1 amps and the 7506 is 21 watts at 1.75 amps, Structurally, they are very similar and can USUALLY be used interchangeably. I have a package of 1156 LEDs that list them as compatible with 2056 and 7506. If you are going to be using them for more than one purpose (tail, turn, stop), typically you need a dual filament like the 1157 which I believe is the factory brake light bulb.

Wow, thank you. Best explanation I have heard to date jstolwor, very much appreciated.
As I will be installing the Triple Play and Flasher relay from Custom Dynamics, I considered having to change the bulb type, I am thinking of possibly trying the round LEDs which are 1157 plug and play.
I did try one of the 1156 compatible with 7506 LED bulb made by Sylvania however it did not fit.
So back to the drawing board I guess.
I may try the same type bulb as in the brake light as I already have red lenses ready for switching once the triple play arrives.

Cheers and Thank you for your explanation.
