Default Harley Hater Video. Perhaps an Indian Cycles salesman

Came across this video tonight. Geesh. Dooms day prophecy. Glad I bought my TC before I saw this.

I didn’t make it past the point when he said that “catastrophic failure is just a fact of life with these machines.” “The crank is pressed together with a 400 ton press at the factory”, so this means it’ll simply just walk it’s way out and cause everything to grenade inside?

This guy has been eating too much jelly.

Couple errors in his narrative.

1) That's a Road Glide not a "Street Glide"
2) Pressed flywheels didn't show up until 2003 not 1999
3) Cam chain tensioners were updated in 2007

I guess accuracy isn't his strong suit.

Couldn't do it. Way too many inaccuracies and outright bullshit.

All Twin Cam Harley flywheels are pressed together, starting in 1999.

Twin cam crank differences are: (Courtesy of DJL)

" '99-'02 hot forged/Timken, 4.000" stroke
'03-'04 cold forged/roller, 4.000" stroke
'05-'06 cast/roller, 4.000" stroke
'06 Dyna cast/roller, 4.000" stroke, sprocket shaft accepts new compensating assy.
'07-present cast/roller, 4.375" stroke, sprocket shaft accepts new compensating assy."

Cam chain tensioners were upgraded to hydraulic in 2006 with the TC 88 in the Dyna line. 2007 for all other models. There was a 103" SE model that had spring tensioners and a 4 3/8" crank prior to 2006.

My bad. I was thinking of the forged crankshaft not the fly wheel.
