I have a buddy with an old police seat, but I have an 06 Softail. I would love to mount it on my bike, but have never foound a conversion kit to make it work on the softail.
Also this was filmed on Key Biscayne, Florida. I grew up on that island many years ago. I used to run up and down that stadium for rowing practice.
Cool info thanks guys, guessing those seats are fantastic given the amount of time motor officers could spend on them daily.
Technically, motors spend four, 10 hour days in the seat. (depending on the shift)
In reality, you aren't on the seat too much, depending on the amount of stubs you generate.
Court, crashes and coffee reduce seat time as well.

I did one year on a police motor. I wasn't part of traffic but community policing. My area was a business district. Most of my stops were cars blowing thru cross walks or making u-turns. But my focus was to see and be seen. So I rode around a bit then sat on the bike near cross walks and intersections. I did run to court, get coffee and have lunch/supper. But my *** was in that seat most of the day even if I wasn't riding the whole time.
Last rode on the job in 1993, retired in 2014 and I just bought a new FLHP Road King Police.
Is the air bladder seat like only available on police models or to LEOs only I wonder, a factory thing?
I have a police seat for sale. It's from the newer model, with the coilover shock. It comes with everything, and the Mustang seats passenger pillion. $300 plus shipping, if you're interested. It will fit a 2008 and up.
