FXSTI Guy, You and Bill N. and others did a great job of getting the Mascot moved to California. Brian will be moving the Mascot almost 1400 miles while meeting up with others along the way to escort the Mascot to the Effingham Rally. Considering the distance he'll be moving it, a REST in his garage isn't that big a deal. I also think it's the job of other HDF members in the Montana area to let him know of their presence and interest in the Mascot. What say you all?

Everyone concerned was aware of my travel schedule before I took delivery. I'm also the only one who volunteered totake it.
There were no resposes to my arrival post on the 20th until2days after that post was bumped by wldbill. I'd be happy to hand it off to anyone headed out of/through here at any time.

Also a chance that I may bail out of here on my Dynafor a few days andhigh-ball itto Tucson & back, cuz that's where my new (used) RK is sitting.

Billings-Sheridan, WY, Casper-Cheyenne-Santa Fe, NM-Albequerque-Socorro-Las Cruces-Tucson, AZ& back.
It will be on short notice, so line up now please.

Los Cruces, NM is the closest town you listed to me, and that's around 670 miles away! I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area so I won't be able to take it, but I MIGHT be able to TOUCH it! However, it MUST be on my first day off sometime during the week with my strange schedule, so it's a good chance it won't work out to meet you there. During the week I'm off two consecutive days, so I need a day to get there and a day to get back. That's a heckuva ride on a Sporty just to see a FLAG for an hour or so! Since you are the "keeper of the Mascot, and it's YOUR RK you're picking up, the schedule is obviously on YOUR terms and certainly not mine! But I'd like to go nonetheless, just for laughs and giggles and to break my one day record of 621 miles (done on a STOCK Honda Shadow 750, btw). Let me know, and I'll see if I can at least MEET you in Las Cruces. The timing might be too critical, though.

That schedule is tenuous. It all depends on a general contractor getting some necessary work done before I can start laying a wood floor. Will know tomorrow. If he can't, I'm out of here. If not, it will have to wait until Effingham - I'll take the long way and pick up the King enroute. Maybe could meet you along the way. Will check the map.

I'm new to this mascot thing, but I'm in Mesa, AZ... depending on how you go from NM to Tucson, you may pass by here, (the Phoenix area), Let me know and I'll take it if no one else wants it. I'd have to pass it off to someone in AZ, though, as I am a new rider, and don't go much farther than 30 miles from home, yet. Let me know.

That being the case, I don't think I can make it. I'm off next Wed. and Thurs. June 4 & 5. I also found out yesterday that I have dental issues that mustbe addressed Wed. Jun 4 @ 1:00 pm. Assuming I leave directly toNM afterwards, it would put me in a state I've never been, in an unfamiliar town, with unknown gas stops and lodging VERY late at night! Google mapsseems to think it takes over nine hours to get there, and I have no reason to doubt them. You probably couldn't wait that long anyway even if I didn't have the appointment.

Donna, I LOVE that bike! Just take it easy till you get the hang of things; it won't be long before you start venturing out more. Just stay within your zone, andcontinue expandingit as you're ready. Pretty soon you'll be thinking 100 miles is a short ride!

Donna & Teek - tenuous has become not going to happen. Everything on the job site has been/is being cleared away or done so that I can go straight through. Plans now are to go from here to Tucson, trade out the Dyna for the Road King and head directly to Effingham. Should be in Tucson about June 23 or 24.
In the mean time, if anyone is passing through the Billings area & wants to move it on, let me know.

Thanks for the encouragement! I love my bike, too, but seriously, I couldn't take it any easier if I tried!!! I'm in no hurry to meet my maker, but the goal is that I get good enough and confident enough to ridewith one of my kids on back, and we'll (Joe.1955 and I), travel on bikes as a family of 4!

Hey Bruce,
No problem! The only thing that's tough to take is when there aren't any post. Anything is better than nothing. The Tileman is going to really be piling on the miles.
Hey Brian, hope that 'laydown' goes even smoother than the other stuff has gone.
