Hey man, I am totally uneducated on any state east of Minnesota. What time of year will you be headed. If it were me I would take a look at when the season of autumn starts in the northeastern states. Begin the trip running around in the northeast during fall. Think cool crisp sunny days with beautiful autumn colors.

 

The Appalachian mountain range is supposed to be cool and I hear Tennessee is as well. The ozark mountains of south Missouri / northern Arkansas are fantastic country

 

Your route actually looks pretty good. Can you send me another picture of it zoomed out a little so o can see up to Nova Scotia?
