Had a great ride today taking the mascot to Roger (Rog48). All total I had the mascot for 253 miles, 197 of which came today. I rode a total of about 575 miles for the mascot since yesterday morning.

The leg today was pretty uneventful I just stayed on I-85 for the most part to make time. The overcooked bacon at wAWFUL house stands out, but thats another story.

I was able to roll into Cycle World of Athens right on time, just a few minutes before Roger. Mike at the dealership took our picture of the handoff and we chatted a little about work and bikes. Turns out he's a firefighter as am I.



Roger and myself went to Sonny's BBQ for a bite to eat while we swapped stories. We seem to share the same attitudes about tires, bike washing and maintenance.

It was a pleasure helping out the travels and meeting everyone.

 

There seems to be an awful lot of "Mikes" associated with this move down the East Coast!

And someone (not naming names, but it wasn't a "Mike") seemed concerned that the Mascot wouldn't get South before the winter!

 

That's my kind of GPS Mike! Never fails.
