Do I need stage 1 download??

Thinking of installing Screamin eagle stage 1 air filter on my 03 ultra with stock exhaust. Parts guy at Harley say I can get by with no stage 1 download.
Any input??

The HD parts catalog says "All EFI-equipped models require ECM calibration" (download) with the Screamin Eagle air cleaner. It doesn't say that for the exhaust. So if you are getting the AC with or without mufflers I would Get the download or a tuner.

Do NOT go to H-D for a download. Get an aftermarket tuner of your choice. Plenty of info in here about them.
