TP Code - Might I have found the real problem.

TP Code - Might I have found the real problem.
Back in May the bike sputtered a couple of times and died. Started up and went a few miles then did it again. Started right up and got home. No codes in the ECM. It's run OK since but it has had a lean-like cough at (according to the Power Vision) 5 to 30% throttle and 1500 to 3500 RPM.
Since this felt like a fuel problem I had the injectors cleaned and bench tested, replaced all the in-tank fuel lines, pump, regulator and filter. Changed the intake manifold seals. Also changed the plugs, wires and exhaust gaskets for fun.
That did increase the fuel pressure and she ran much better.
Then today it did the same thing it did back in May. Sputtered and died. Sputtered and died. Now it will idle but as soon as you give it any throttle it dies.
This time however the PV shows a "P0122 TP Sensor Open/Low EFI" code. Could a TP sensor cause the sputter and die problem?

Check for a broken wire at the TP sensor where it goes into the rubber insulator of the connector.
You really need to have a scan tool and watch the TP sweep, but a broken wire could certainly result in the condition noted above.
