Help with dtc P0641
3471.1
I have been searching forums for help but none has worked yet.
Time to start posting for help.
I have 2013 Road King with about 6k miles. I was riding and had little to none throttle response. Not good while on the highway.....
I pulled over and check the dtc and found P0120 cleared and tried to restart but it didn't. Checked code again and got P1511.
Cleared codes again and waited about ten minutes. I was able to start up and ride about another five miles and the same thing.
Limped on home. Check codes again P0641. I have read many threads about these codes and one talked about the engine temp sensor. So I removed it from the head and road again and the same thing...P0641 If I try starting before it cools down I get P1511. After cooling down and clearing code and riding till it warms up, it happens again and again P0641
I also tried unplugging all the connectors and cleaning and using a small amount of dielectric grease but no help. Did this first before temp sensor.
What think I know..P0120=TPS1 Range Error P1511= EFI Power Management Mode P0641 5v ref 1 out of range
Anybody know how to go about checking the TPS, TCA, ECM.... From what I have read, I believe these need checked out. But I could be wrong...

I just want to update this thread to help others with the P codes issues. This may help others find the root cause of the problem
After having checked all engine sensors and associated wiring, my P0641, P1511 codes were still there.
The root cause was a short in the jiffy stand sensor wiring. My bike, 2013 Road King, doesn't even have this sensor. The jiffy stand sensor was installed on Police Bikes and bikes for export to foreign markets. Harley seemed to use the same wiring harness for all these bikes whether they have this option or not.
I hope this may help out other techs that are scratching their heads trying to figure out were the needle in the haystack is located.
Ride On.....
