Angry SE air cleaner - oiled last cleaning (DOH!)

After cleaning my air filter element (SE gauze style) during routine MX, I wasn't thinking about the type (HD style so no oil on the elements) and sprayed with my K&N red oil. Now, 28 days later I get idle issues.

Self-induced problems suck

Intake looks a bit "oily" and I re-cleaned my air filter and left it dry.

Question now, carb type cleaner on the IAC and throttle-body? No codes so far.

Appreciate any input.

Mass Air Flow Cleaner is what I'd use. Carb Cleaner might damage the IAC.

Grabbed some CRC Mass Air Flow cleaner from NAPA and went to town on the crud on the throttle-body, IAC and the air intake temperature sensor with some gentle spray and Q-Tips. It does appears to idle a bit smoother now. Now I need to take on a good test-run later. Saturday chores and other house MX so it may have to this evening.

Appreciate the input and suggestions!

Dose the gas in your tank with a 5 oz. shot of Seafoam or Startron and ride it out.

Update: put some Seafoam in the tank as mentioned above and ran today about an hour and half with no more issues.

Next time I'll read the manual, and then re-read it - AGAIN, Before I dig into my MX procedures.

A little off topic but I was not sure how well those SE filters will hold up to washing. And you are not supposed to use any cleaner. So I bought an Exotx. It has two layer of stainless steel mesh. The inner layer is so fine it looks like cloth. You can wash it with about anything that isn't corrosive and next to no drying time.
