Default 8 degree vs 25 degree injectors

Hey all, I know this topic has been discussed heavily on this forum but I have a few question on the subject.

I ride a 2006 street bob which as of recently has been plagued by the surging and stalling caused by these 8 degree injectors. To make a long story short I checked this morning, and sure enough I still have the 8 degree injectors on my bike.

I called my dealer to ask if they would honor the service bulletin and change them to 25 degree injectors free of charge, the answer was a no unfortunately.

Am I wrong in assuming that these injectors should have been changed by the dealer in 2006 during its normal service appointments?

Last question, to hell with the dealer I'll put the injectors on my self. However, what would be the best route to take in order to tune my bike to the new injectors? I currently am running a power commander 5. Is there a tune I can download for that or do I need to go to the dealer to have it tuned properly?

i hate to revive this thread but I too would like to know this I also am riding an 06 streetbob and it’s starting to have hesitation issues at low to mid rpm range would like to switch over to the 25 degree injectors but I’m not sure what to do about the ecm I also have the pcv is there a map that will correct this so I don’t have to take it to the dealer

Have you read the bulletin? IIRC it has to do with starting issues and not low to mid RPM's.

the degree should have nothing to do with tune unless the injector lb/hr rate is changed drastically. the ecm will adjust with input from other sensors to maintain set ratio.

JMO, but if I had a 12 year old bike that just now started to have hesitation issues, I'd check a few things before I replaced the injectors. Like fuel pressure, fuel filter, intake seals, TPS, IAC, throttle shaft, etc.
