Got a code for a bad front coil. Tested according to manual and primary coil test is around .8 - .9 ohms, which is just slightly above spec of .5 - .7. Secondary circuit tested around 3.09k ohms, both front and back. Manual says 5.5 - 7.5k ohms. I picked up a new coil from dealer and new coil tests around the same. This is for a 2001 FLSTF fuel injected. Is the 5.5 - 7.5k range correct? is 3.09k ohm reading indicate a bad coil? Thanks for any help.

 

Nothing wrong with the coil.. While you might have a bad plug wire, it's likely a bad primary wire connection from the ECM to the coil.
