Stage 1 tuning
So I just finished doing a stage 1 to my 2017 street bob. I went with V&H short shots and SE heavy breather with just the dealer ecm flash. On the ride home I could hardly notice any difference in performance. Maybe a little but not much. I wasn't expecting anything crazy but a little more than what I did get. My question is would I have noticed a better increase in performance if I didn't use just the dealer flash? Should I look into a fuelpak or possibly even the screaming eagle super tuner with a bit of dyno time? Thx guys

the dealer flash is crap. yes you will, but not sure how much more if its worth the $$. I think you should get the FP3 if you have alot of popping on decel and the bike is running lean. If its not then i dont think (unless your loaded and dont know what to do with your $$) its worth it.

Dyno time will always be preferred. You also need to inform the tuner what you want: more mpg or more power. These are 2 different mappings. You don't know what type of mapping the dealer has uploaded. I started with a FP when I only changed the exhaust and A/C. Stock Fatboy from my friend was no match after an update with FP. Later I switched to SEPT and after that to Twin Tec.It depends how far you want to go with it.
