V&h fp3 help
I just got my FP3 in this week! I have a 2007 Ultra Classic, they didn't have my exhaust so I pick generic! I'm running auto tune now! my question is after I stop do I need to hit apply before I turn off the bike not finished? the reason I asked is because I ran down to the store about 5 miles or so and when I came back I had some squares colored! but I didn't hit apply. now me and my wife just got back from a nice 35mins one way, and 35mins back home! I was excited to see a lot more colored squares when we got back! I didn't have any WTF, now I did stop and turn off the bike at 35mins that's when we ate dinner I didn't not hit apply then! am I doing something wrong here! Thanks

No, you don't need to hit "apply" before turning off the bike, or after turning off the bike for that matter. If you don't hit apply, the grid should continue to populate. If you do hit "Apply Learned Values", then "Apply", it will keep AutoTune active, but will clear the grid each time (I like to take a screen shot to compare the grids, as I go). It's a good idea to apply as you go, but you don't have to. When your done with the A/T session, you need to hit "Apply Learned Values" then "Finish. This will end your A/T session, and finalize your map/air-fuel ratios... Was the grid clear after your 2nd ride, or did you just not get any more cells to populate?? Since you didn't hit apply, it should have continued to populate the grid, adding to what was there. If I were you, I would hit "finish" or "cancel" and start a new session, and see what happens, if there's still a problem call V&H customer service Mon a.m.

Doing the same
I also just put the FP3 and the VO2 naked on my 2010 RK. They didn't have my set up either so I called Vance & Hines tech guy. I was getting poor acceleration and popping on downshift. He was able to figure out from their assortment of mufflers and head pipes a good combination for my bike. Then he said NOT to do the auto tune till I had gone thru at least 2 tanks of fuel. Well it only took about 50 miles and WOW what a difference. The old girl is acting like a new filly. It is running so good now I'm not sure if I will ever do the auto tune , at least until I get the new pipes and muffler if I even do that. For my money the tech's at V&H have it together.

Go to their website and get the tech contact number and call them. After you tell them exactly what you have they will be able to give you a good set up for what you have from what is listed on their site.
