Default Power Vision PV1 problems

Hello. I just received a PV1 from Feulmoto. It never came with a custom map nor pre-configured maps. I read that I may have to download a Critical Update. I need a batch number to know this. There is no batch number. I will post a pic of the only numbers. Any ideas?

Did you open up WinPV on your computer and hook the PV up to see if the custom map was downloaded onto the PV unit?

There is also an update client that you will need to install in order to keep your PV updated.

Plug the power vision into your computer and open the WinPV program. Then click on each of the tabs in the upper left and look for the update option. It is there you will find the number you're looking for. A box should open and show you the version in your unit as well as the most current version. It should also tell which item you should update first.

EDIT: An easier way to do this, assuming you have loaded WinPV into your computer and are running a Windows based operating system is to plug in the power vision into your computer but do not open WinPV. Instead, on your computers home screen there should be a search or run box in the lower left corner, either on it's own or part of the start/shut down button. In the search or run box type "PV update client". Then open the client up and it will be on the update window.

Got it figured out!! Did need to update PV Client. For some reason an error came up yesterday but it worked today. Had Jamie at Fuelmoto send me the new map. He did it first thing this morning. He's the $hit!! Thanks to all who replied and ride safe. Al

I personally think the PV hardware is getting a bit outdated and have been holding off on purchasing. Too many people have noted firmware update issues, screen blanking out and gauges etc. not working correctly when the vehicle is in operation when the thing is 1-2 years old. I think it does beat paying $$ with the dealer for dyno jet/tuning, but the durability and stability postings here in this forum really do cause me some concerns.
