Default Bike died, left with intermittent buzz

Ok, so I took my 2005 883 sportster custom to the store. Later when I turned on the ignition switch the bike turned on, just for a split second and everything went out. I played with the key (on and off) for a couple minutes but nothing came on. Then I noticed that there was an intermittent buzz coming from the speedometer. I trailered the bike home and the next day I noticed that the buzz was still there; with or without the key. At this point I disconnected the battery. There's not much more to say. It had been starting and running fine, no problems at all, before this.

Sounds like something is shorting to ground. Tough to diagnose from what you have posted. Try to isolate where the buzz is coming from. First ting is to check your battery cables at both ends. That they are tight, and clean. Next would be fuses, and main circuit beaker, then relays.

Yeh, a blown fuse was the first thing that came to my mind but when I started to hear the buzzing I figured that it's got to be something else. I won't get another chance to look at it until the weekend but I'll check the fuses and relays. Thanks

Finally got a chance to look at the bike, this weekend. My son said to start by checking ALL the fuses, not just the ignition. Well, as much as it hurts to say it; he was right. I pulled each fuse, one at a time and sure enough, it's running fine.
