Default best tuner for a tc88??

Hi guys, I am still new to HD Forums but recently bought a 2003 flhtpi and plan on slowly doing performance upgrades. Starting with pipes and intake, then cams, then maybe big bore. From what I read, the Thundermax sounds like the best option especially if I plan on upgrading my bike more in the future. My question is, is it really worth the extra cost? and is there anything else comparable?

I used a Power Vision from Fuel Moto and Auto tune kit on my 06 Ultra. I had to add V&H true dual head pipes to add the 02 sensors, and had very good results with it

I always suggest reading,,,and rereading the instructions for how to load and tune with any system BEFORE spending the time and money with a product.
If you have a close friend or connection that installs and tunes ThunderMax systems it will be a real hedge up on getting the system to work as expected.
Doesn't matter which system you opt for if you do your homework you will find success. If not, and only rely on forum members to lead you through all the procedures, you will become frustrated and not get what you expected.
As with most technical systems, understanding how and why the system works is the only avenue IMO for successful tuning whether it be street (DIY) or dyno tuning, auto or manual, closed or open loop, alpha-N or speed density.

The "best" tuner would be the product the user or individual doing the tuning is most comfortable using, the product you can get the best support on, and a product that has the necessary features for tuning your specific application. Plenty of great options for your 2003 bike
