Default Check valve problems

I replaced the check valve on my 14 road king. Shitty job and I don’t recommend anyone do it. Anyway I broke off the old fuel line in the tank and couldn’t get it out. Will I be able to leave it in there? What’s the worse that could happen?

depends, do you have a fuel level float in the tank?? if it gets in the way, issues will arise. remove it and then you maybe able to fish it out will a flexible spring grabber, cut out in pieces if necessary.

I would dig it out.. I'd be worried about it damaging the sock on the fuel pump pickup.
