Help! New to HD, want to increase MPG.

Your right wrist can greatly influence your gas mileage
Try shifting like this and using less than 20% throttle -
1st to 2nd 15mph
2nd to 3rd 25 mph
3rd to 4th 35 mph
4th to 5th 45 mph
You will have to be light on the throttle at those shift points.
Might gain you about 10 more miles per tank

Hey guys,
About the bike:- has a micro tuner
So my biggest question is, what can I do to increase MPG, i dont ride crazy too, sticking to 45mph in 5th half time.
I do apologise if I come across stupid, im new to the scene and I would hugely appreciate any guidance right now since I dont know what to do.
thank you

Then either do your own autotuning or take it,to a qualified, experienced tuner, and get the absolute best running bike you could imagine...and excellent mileage to boot.
There is no substitute for a proper recalibrated EFI system...period.
Saving a buck and using an inferior tuning device and not tuning (autotune or dyno) will never produce assumed results.

If you want best mileage as well as best performance get the “toy”off your bike and get a proper flash-tuner.

Not sure you can make that statement until you have experienced the difference between a bike that has had a canned map installed in an add-on box and the same bike dynotuned with a flash tuner that retains the O2 sensors to keep a well tuned bike running perfectly throughout all the differing fuel formulae from mfg to mfg, station to station, season to season, and supplier to supplier.
All that said...will a bike run fine with a power commander/micro tuner? Sure, but there’s much more to getting the smoothest, most responsive bike that gets over 40 mpg @ 80 mph...and that’s a bagger, not a Dyna which will get as much as 50 mpg when tuned.

Right. ~6 hp - maybe, ~5 mpg - maybe. That's optimal and from a stock ECU. Actual gains may go totally unnoticed at around 800 lbs rolling down street. When does that "extra" power come on??? Alas, he has the wrong pipe, and gains from changing the tuner in his case will be nominal. My point, the 'shock and awe' is misleading. B+ for drama
