What is this called, and is it supposed to leak?
So, there I was... 2010 Fatboy, not starting. Troubleshooting brought me to change the system relay, replaced fuel pump, and internal fuel lines. When attempting to start, I hear the fuel sound again, but followed by a weird spraying sound.
Took apart to look inside and had my son take a picture of the spraying fuel.
So first question is, what is the piece called? Guessing fuel filter assembly or something... And is it supposed to spray fuel or is the rubber o-ring just bad?
I appreciate all the help ! ~ Tim

Keep in mind what is leaking. On a modern FI motor, the fuel pump is on a timer when you first key on. It maintains the 60 psi. Once running or after ECM gets twenty or so impulses, it turns on pump which then runs all the time. The pressure relief bleeds off to 60 all the time. That way, FI is good all the way from idle to WOT.
You have a bank angle sensor that kills pump if bike is dropped.
Some Toyotas simple only run when cranking or running and have no prime. Back when cars had throttle body FI, the relief was at the fuel rail and has a vacuum line to it to make fuel pressure variable. It bleeds off more at idle.
You normally do not hear the relief valve unless tank is very low. However, many internal fuel lines have been changed over this.
Lot of times, the plastic housing is warped where that o-ring is.
