New Battery, Bike won't even turn over

It didn't work. I charged the battery yesterday and it was reading 12.87V before I put it in the bike this morning. I checked the voltage after hooking it up and the voltage was 10.7 V with the switch in the off, and ignition position. Once I switched to ACC mode the voltage was approximately 12.5 V. I hooked up my jumper box, and the voltage on the bikes gauge went to about 12.5V. I tried to start the bike, but it didn't have enough juice to get it to start. It turned over, but didn't start. Since 2 cars parked on each side of my bike last night while I was at work, I can't get my vehicle next to it to get it a better jump, until one of them moves. Either I bought a crap battery or I'm still doing something wrong.

The battery was defective. Apparently putting it on the bike right after the charge discharged 2 volts off the battery right away. That's why it was reading 10.7 V after hooking it up. I bought a new one from Autozone after they checked my other battery, and the bike started up with no issues. Waiting for other place to finish recharging the battery and load testing it. Hopefully they will give me a refund and not try and give me another crap battery. Thanks for all the great suggestions. I am happy to be back on 2 wheels with power again.
