Default How to reboot/reset VCI

Anyone know how to clear VCI provided with M8 SEPST? I think I need to do this so I can communicate to M8 mike from SEPST software.

Milwaukee 8 valve, what moco calls the new engine after the twin cams. Started in 2017 touring bikes, then also used in 2018 soft tails. Inincluded M8 in case the VCI or SEPST app is different than those for twin cam or EVO models.

I know what an M8 is. Read your first post. I have no idea what it means.

Your question makes no sense. There is no reset. What is the issue you are trying to address?

Can’t get SEPST to re-connect to the bike. Was working until it seemed to get stuck in mode of getting VCI setup for data collection. After stopping that process, I can’t re-establish communications. I’ve cycled bike power, disconnected VCI, checked cable connections, used different USB port on same laptop, and uninstalled then reinstalled SEPST software. My guess is that the VCI is stuck in a state looking for specific bitstream and not otherwise receptive to communications.

This VCI was successfully used on the bike several time months ago. Most recently, I set it up for new data logging earlier that same day. But when I down loaded the data file after the run, the file didn’t have the data. So I was trying to set it up agains for another data run when it seemed to get locked up.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

Is the run/stop switch on the bars switched to on?

Yes, and the red LED on the VCI is lit, but the SEPST software on the connected laptop still doesn’t see the bike.
