Default 2001 Ultra classic, Starts then dies

My 2001 Ultra starts right up then after a few seconds begins to miss then dies....hit the start button and it lights right up again and does the same thing....Ive replaced the engine temp sensor, the gas lines inside the tank (pinhole in the pump to filter line...thought that was the problem originally) changed the fuel filter....pump cycles so I left it alone...changed out the fuel check valve and line to the pump as well....Im running out of patience chasing this ghost...I really dont want to get into the ordeal of throwing parts at it.....Im also not getting any codes...I suppose its time to get someone to plug a scanalyzer into it to get me pointed in the right direction...any ideas?

When I owned a 2001 Electra Glide with Magnetti Marelli EFI I would have to go through and set up the cold idle otherwise it would behave as you described.

I agree with that, however in my case, and I failed to mention it beforehand, but I have an S&S throttle body setup on mine....

my sportster was doing the same thing, problem on mine was the bank angle sensor, it kept thinking it fell over, not sure if you have one on that bike tho

I think it does....its on my short list of crappy HD sensors to fix or replace.....

Did it just start to do this? Have you performed any recent work on the bike? The early twin cams had a problem with the front injector pigtail being too short. It would stress over time, and break inside the insulation. You can try a wiggle test to see if that is the problem. Also I do not see an S&S throttle body that says 2001 in the current catalog. Do you know what size it is, and which injectors you have in your bike, green or red?

It is reading as fuel related.
What happens if you hold throttle while cranking and maintain throttle?
No mention of history prior to problem, unknown miles ?
It would seem like you might have some other throttle body set-up that is not factory original and it is unknown if it is related to present problem or if that part was working before.
Reads as fuel related...does bike run if throttle is maintained?
If so, then review the idle control actuator or linkage to it.
