No Spark on rear cylinder
#22
This is the type of coil, but the coil is not the problem as it's brand new as to are the leads and plugs all tested. I could buy a cam sensor no prob but it's 300 euros and if that not the problem I will again be spending more, I know it prob needs to be put on a dinostic machine but it shows up no faults on the dash

ok, now that we all can see what you have. just because the coil is new does NOT mean that it's OK. now you have to go back and do the trigger test that i was describing earlier. this will tell if you are getting signal from the module. the cam sensor is the pick up, sends the signal to the module, then the module sends the trigger pulses to the coil. i would think that the cam sensor is ok, because you are getting spark from the front, this indicates that the pick up is at least somewhat functional. now we need to know if we are getting the trigger from the module for both cylinders. if you are getting it at the coil connector, but no spark, the coil is defective. if you are not getting the signal, you either have an open circuit/bad wire, or a bad ignition module. time to test.

it's the main ecm under the right side cover, remove saddlebag, pull out plastic side cover and it is right there, i don't believe they are available anymore from HD, you will have to check from you local dealer.#32423-97c. get the service manual and follow the diagrams and the steps in the book.

Have left the bike with a lad who dose electrical work on bikes, he has gone through the bike and can find no obvious problems, all wires are good connections good, he dose not have a dinostic reader, he has ordered a cam sensor as he feels it maybe that. Personally I feel it is the ecm, is the ignition module a part of the ecm and is there a way to test ecm
