how much control does the power vision give over the ignition timing map?

I just called Harley to have the ThunderMax installed, and was told they only do the Screaming Eagle or the Power Vision Tunes. So I like what I saw with the Power Vision monitor you can install on your handle bars, Any opinions welcome. I was told that they don't do the ThunderMax because of a lot of problems with the ECM based tuner, and they have had a lot of bikes come in with problems someone else had installed.
