Default Can the FP3 overwrite a SEPST Stage 1 Tune?

I currently have an 18 street glide with a harley heavy breather and V&H 450 OS mufflers and I've been programmed with the SEPST tuner for Stage 1. I just installed a set of V&H power dual headers. If I buy an FP3 and specifically tune for the headers and mufflers, does it have the ability to overwrite the SEPST tuner or will I seriously mess things up?

Thanks.

Yes. Any tune can be overwritten by any tuner. They all do the same thing: populate tables with numbers. The tables don't change, only the data within them is changed.

Never used a SEPST but if it has the capability to restore bike to stock I'd do that first. The FP3 copies and saves the stock tune first. Might be a non issue. It's just what I would do

The SEPST cannot return the ECM to stock configuration. Also, it’s not true that any tune can be overwritten by any tuner. The TTS prohibits such an action to prevent a dealer from erasing the TTS tune.

Aghhh. SO confused here and don't want to **** up the bike. I guess when connecting the FP3, it will save the stage 1 map as the stock map and can always go back to that if there is a problem. Going to call V&H and see what they say.

1) If you want it returned completely to stock, the OE calibration is free from the dealer - you will pay their time to flash it.
2) The stage 1 air filter/muffler flash is as near to stock as you will get. In many calibrations the only difference was the RPM limit. It may not be worth your time to go back and do step 1. If the tuning device you will use is going to use O2 sensor feedback to tune, don't worry about it. You can use the SE Tuner to set the rpm limit too.
3) Jbarr is correct on the TTS strategy of not allowing an over-write.

I don't care if I return to stock or not. The FP3 will save my stage 1 tune as the stock tune which is fine because in any scenario I am not taking off my high flow air filter so I can always go back to that if needed. I just want to know if I go to upload a canned V&H Map, will there be any issues overwriting the SE Stage 1 map?

I wasn't aware. Thanks for the pointer!

Dealer flashed mine with a stage 1 map when doing prep for delivery.
I bought a FP3, hooked it up saved the flash then loaded the map of my choice.
I have 3 maps loaded on mine along with the stock (stage1) map.
