So i bought a 06 road king flhri and has slip on mufflers. Since I bought it the idle was rough and at light throttle there is a sputter. I have checked everything to cancel out other possibilities. Do Harleys run that lean with just mufflers to cause a drivability issue? I put a dobeck electronic jet kit on it and runs much better but still get some popping and occasional backfire and my average mpg with it was like 35 to 38 mpg. Is that normal? Are there any others here with am 06 that put on just mufflers with a factory tune and has this sputter? The injectors were replaced with 25 degree and was reflashed for them.

 

Unfortunately the advice not to have it reflashed when the 25s were installed was not heeded in your other thread. The bike would have liked the OE flash with the 25s a lot and it would have helped with the mufflers.
