Default Wide band dyno tuning

About to put a cam in my bike and my dyno guy says he only dynos with wideband sensors to get the absolute best out of it. Does this really provide that much better of a tune?

Quick google...

Narrow band sensors tell you whether fuel is rich or lean but not by how much. Adjust mixture and try again, repeat...

Wideband sensors tell you by how much the fuel is rich or lean in theory allowing the setting to be corrected in one go.

Get the tuner that your dyno guy is most familiar with. I'd be surprised that it would be one that still uses narrow band sensors.

He requested the TTS so that's what I got.

The tuner is new in the box, I do not have any kind of base map, I assume the dyno guy can get one or does he just start from scratch?

Depends on the experience the selected tuner has.

Assuming wideband sensors will work properly in your bungs and your tuner says he can do a better job with them, then I'd do what the tuner says, assuming he has a good reputation and experience with builds like yours.
