Default Do I need to get an expensive tuner??

What's up to all that read this.

My bike is a 2014 Road King 103, I'm planning to de-cat my stock head pipe install Jones Full Boar mufflers and stage 1 air cleaner. It would be a big help to get everyone's opinion on the tuner I should buy... Was looking at the Vance and Hines fp 3 but I'm not sure if get something that expensive now is worth it in the long run, or should go for a cheaper tuner? I'm honestly not sure what power mods I'll be doing in the future. Although the 110ci tire shredder kit looks very appealing.....😁 Thanks for your responses.....

You'll certainly need something if going that far. If you're planning on doing more, a tuner will be best way to go, lot's of discussions on various manufacturers here. Or just get a HD one time tune at the shop for the mods you've done now, but it's probably going to cost the same as picking up a tuner. Getting a tuner will give you flexibility down the road if you go to stage 2 or more, good luck.

Bypass the FP3 and get a TTS or PowerVision. You’ll be very glad you did when you do the next upgrade.

I haven't researched the power vision I'm going to have to look into that one and the TTS I'm not familiar with at all.

That note just says that you cannot import PC maps on bikes with ETC.

So I'm guessing that all the tuning would have to be done on the bike with the power vision correct??

Don’t get misled by the “Autotune” promises by the tuning manufacturers. All tuners need human intervention to address reversion areas and timing issues. IMO, TTS is the way to go.
