Speedometer Issue
Have an '03 Heratige Classic with 37K miles. Recently, have experienced an intermittant issue as follows:
1. Cruising down a straight road at normal speeds (55-75 mph).
2. Odometer will go blank and
3. Speedometer will either drop to 0 or lock at speed and
4. Check engine light will come on.
5. Bike will continue to run fine (no miss, no appartent problems)
6. Within 5-10 sec, odometer will come back on, speedometer will begin working and check engine light will go back off like nothing ever occurred.
7. Very unpredictable and since the bike runs fine, may occur more often that I know, since if you don't actually see it, you would not know it happened from bike's performance.
Any ideas? Would a speed sensor beginning to fail cause this?
