The crane Hi-4 single fire is a good unit I have installed at least a dozen on peoples bikes no problems .Have also used daytona twin tech with no problems.Search the web u should be able to find a kit for around 3 bills

FYI,
I believe the Ultima proprietary unit is built for them by Dyna. As with any electrical unit they last forever or die right away. Every maker of ignitions has had their turn in the barrel with a bad lot of ignitions. I even remember a bad lot of points and condensors from time to time way back when.
