My 2008 Road King starts fine but tachs 3000rpm, takes forever to come down to 1500 or lower, but sometimes idles at 1000 but then varies again. I have heard about computer problems with 2008 models. Any ideas?

 

is ur bike stage 1 upgraded, Power commander (check the map), SE tuned ? if not then I suggest you go for Thunder Max Auto tune that would replace your computer and (throw your Bike computer next to the dealership maindoor) hope this helps

 

Has stage 1 and V@H true duals but still has the factory computeras far as I can tell

 

Turn your run switch to the Run position.

Turn on your console switch. wait 10 seconds or until the engine light turns off. Turn the console switch off for 10 seconds.


Do this 4 times.



Start the bike and see if it relearns a zero throttle position.
