What do numbers mean, on PCIII?
The PCIII for my bike is model #802-511. My buddy's PCIII is #805-511. Both bikes are '01, his a FatBoy, mine a UC.
What do the first three numbers stand for? I heard it means the length of the cable to the PCIII, and that his would fit mine, and vice versa, as long as the cable was long enough.
Anybody know for sure?
Anybody taken a PCIII for one HD and used it on another HD, of the same year bike?

RE: What do numbers mean, on PCIII?
The '8' means it's for a Harley, the 01 is for EVO, 02 TC Touring, 05 TC Softail, 07 2002 Touring, 09 2002 V-Rod, 10 2005 Softail/Dyna, 11 Dyna advanced map...ect. 511 means it's a PCIII USB.
The reason for the different PC's is when Harley would change the ECM's Dyno Jet had to recalibrate the PC's for the down loads. If your doing a complete custom map on your bike from start to finish it won't matter what unit you have.
