I repainted my bike this winter and now that it is reassembled the fuel pump does not run when I
hit the run switch, it appears the computer comes to life, I have spark and it will run if I squirt gas down the cylinders
THe wire under the dash gets 12.5 volts for about two seconds then it goes dead..the fuel gauge lights and it appears to work.I just
can not hear the pump run...Any Ideas?

 

Look at the connector on the gas tank, there are three spade connectors in side...make sure you didn't bend one of the spades while pushing on the wire harness connector.....if yo udid straighten it up and reconnect it carefully, the pump will work now.
