PCIII w/ '06 8* Injectors & Mods?
Hey Guys, I'm just full of questions, and other stuff
If the 8* injectors have a lesser flow rate (31.0 lb/hr) than the CVO 25*'s (38.8 lb/hr), can you still use a PCIII with modifications, such as slip-ons and a air cleaner?
I posed this question to Tech Services at DynoJet Research and here is what he said: We are waiting for our local dealer to get some of these injectors in stock and then we will have our test bike updated. Once we know if they
greatly affect the fuel curve we will post it on the website. Stay tuned! Thanks.
I know on my '02 Mustang GT, you could boost the output of the injectors with a "booster", but can you do the same to injectors on a harley engine with just a PCIII? The injectors on the Mustang were 28 lb/hr (stock), but you could run them with a supercharger up to a certain HP, so I'm wondering if just adjusting some parameters with the PCIII would cure any lean condition that the mods (slip-ons & A/C) will create.

RE: PCIII w/ '06 8* Injectors & Mods?
Matt, alot of people here installed the PCIII on their "06" injected bikes with the 8* injectors before they ever knew there was an updated 25* injector service bulletin. Most claimed their bikes ran great with the PCIII, but also a few started having a cold start problem that didnt exist before they installed the PCIII. Disconnect the PCIII and the cold start problem goes away. Dynojet has not come up with a solution for that yet. It would only seem logical to me that if the 25* injectors flow more fuel then a different map would have to be installed to compensate for the increase in fuel. This subject is really getting alot of attention lately and I hope there is a clear solution soon.......................BG

I'm not having any problems with my bike, either. But I am concerned about making it leaner with modifications. I'm just wondering if it can be corrected with changing the map on a PCIII to push more fuel when it's needed by boosting the impulse to the injectors and not just increasing the open time.
