Default Power commander V Idle adjust?

Can you adjust the idle down with the PC-V / Auto tune? I like the option on the thundermax, be nice to get that old school sound with an 09 EFI.

You can change idle mixture and igntion timing with PC-V but you cannot change idle speed. Note that the higher idle speed on these bikes is to provide better oil pressure and oil volume at idle.

Thanks, I've never liked the 1000 +- range the 88 and 96 efi run I can't imagine running down to 850 would be an issue? Maybe oiling problems?

I've asked to my dealer to lower the idle speed.

The minimum value they set is 952rpm.
The don't want to go lower.
I think they can, but they don't want assume any responsability under that idle speed.

If you want to go lower you need SERT or aftermarket ECU.

For the life of me I can't understand why people keep trying to make a TC sound like something it isn't. If a person is looking for a loping idle then step up to the bar and lay down the cash for a cam and build then at least get something out of it. Its just like the guys who bolt on loud pipes then wail on their bike just to make racket, then think its fast. Last night I had a guy pass me on a bagger with loud pipes, made all kinds of racket and was like watching paint dry when he passed me. To look at him posture like he was riding a high HP machine he looked like he thought he was flying. The wife and I both got our laugh for the night.

As far as idle, I have something going on. When I first start the bike up my idle surges until it warms up. It run's up to 2000 rpm back down to 1200 and back up, it'll do this until it warms up or I pull away. Anyone else expierance something like this? Rich
