Sert tuning - closed loop bias tables
Hi,
Does changing the voltage readings in the SERT Closed-Loop Bias Tables to increase / decrease the AFR cause the ECM to believe it is still running at 14.6 (and thus staying in closed loop mode) but in fact it is actually running richer or leaner?
Also, does anybody know if it is possible to save the original factory supplied base program map supplied on the ECM prior to installing other factory maps?
cheers,
shep.

Yes for the most part. See pgs 11 & 17 of SEST Manual or pg 3 of SERT manual for more info.

No, not available with SERT or SEST. This requires a TTS Master Tuner.

Hi, thanks very much for your reply.
I did see that in the SERT manual but I was just not sure whether by changing the switching voltage of the O2 sensor 'actually deceives' the ECM of the true reading / situation. On a second reading of the manual it would appear it does and it is a way of enriching the AFR whilst staying in Closed-Loop Operation as per the map.
cheers, shep.
