high idle on new SE 58mm TB
I have a 58mm throttle body by SE. It runs great. The problem i am having is that it keeps losing the IAC ( idle air control ) and starts revving up at idle. I have already replaced seals three times and replaced the IAC motors twice same thing. Harley even did a download to my ECM that was suppose to correct the problem. No good either. Does anyone have an answer? Any suggestions will be very appreciated! Thank you.

Hey everyone. Just to let you know i got the problem corrected. This may not be the case with all 58mm SETB's, but i know of two of them now that have had the idle problem. You have to go into the Data Mode of your Race Tuner if that is what you have and let the bike warm up completely. Should be around 275 degrees. Look at your IAC steps. On stock and the majority of TB's if it is running correctly the steps should be around 30 warmed up. For what ever reason the 58mm SETB does not like 30 at all. You need to adjust it between 10 to 15 steps. Shut bike off and re-start. Runs perfect now with no problems. You make the adjustment by turning the adjuster screw right on top of TB above where the throttle cables hook up. Turn it out to lower step numbers, in to raise step numbers. I want thank David at Harley-Davidson of Cartersville, Ga. for the help. Also Jon of Americam Twin in Fayetteville, Ga. who is always the MAN and the greatest dyno tuner of all time. Thanks guys.
