My 2007 FatBoy wouldn't idle. It would run fine as long as you gave it a little throttle but as soon as you let off it died. Not stumbled or sputtered...died. Checked all the sensors, pulled and cleaned and lubed all the fuses, checked for air leaks, checked for codes on the speedometer, checked the power commander. NOTHING!! Finally found a wire had been pinched between the frame and the negative battery terminal screw. It was shorting out the crank position sensor. A few wraps of electrical tape and a few zipties to pull the wires away from the battery terminal and it's back to normal running again. Harley had a recall on the positive terminal side to place a plastic shield to keep the battery from touching the frame. WATCH THE NEGATIVE SIDE CLEARANCE TOO.
