Can I install SE slip ons without remapping and/or changing air filter?

I have a 2006 Street Glide that is totally stock. I purchased a set of Screaming Eagles (66910-99) slip ons to install on the bike. I don't plan on adding or doing any other upgrades or performance mods. Just looking for some sounds. Everyone I have talked to (including HD dealers) have different opinions about this.

Questions:
1. Do I need/have to install an upgraded air filter if the only thing I am doing is just adding the slip on exhaust system?

2. Do I need to have the bike remapped if the only thing I am doing is just adding the slip on exhaust system?

Thanks in advance for your help.

if you add pipes by themselves or add the air filter by itself you do NOT have to worry about the stage1 download (remapping).
you do NOT have to install the air filter with pipes.

if you add the combination of the two (pipes and air filter) then yes you will need to do the stage1 download at that time.

Like mentioned above that with the slip ons, it's really not needed but the stage 1 intake and some added fuel with a tuner of any kind will make it run much better than without it.

Stage one fuel mapping is not a bad idea even if the bike stays stock. Harley runs the bike so lean to stay ahead of EPA, it would not hurt to do a stage one remap anyway.

Think about putting your money into a tuning tool or tuner instead of throwing it away on a stage one flash. The remap is still a generic EPA map and is not one optimized for your bike. IMHO, the remap is lot of money for what you get. It shouldn't hurt the bike but it sure hurts the wallet.
