I found a deal on a SEST Pro on ebay. I had the old cables from my sert (32114-01A) I used on my 2006 Low Rider.

Does anyone know if the data cable from the old kit is the same as the one in the cable kit (32184-08) they are selling now.

The breakdown of the cable kit (32184-08) shows the data cable part number is 32116-01.

If some one with the new cable kit has the pin to pin configuration that would tell me.

SERT and TTS use the same cables. SESPT is different.

The data cable is different? You mean it is wired different because the connectors are the same. 4 pin Desutch to female db9.

I'm not talking about the usb cable. I'm talking about the data cable from the sest to the bike.

The cable from the VCI to the bike are the same for the SERT, TTS and the SEPro.

I believe the difference between the 32109-08a and 32109-8b is the software. You can make an A the B by updating your software then the VCI.

You know I think a Bluetooth connection from the PC to the VCI would be a great idea.

It doesn't matter which VIC it is they all connect to the bike with a data cable.

I am trying to find out if they have changed the pinouts for that cable from model to model.

The new cable kit shows the part number for that data cable as 32116-01. The -01 means it was a 2001 component. Which should mean it should be the same pin configuration.

I have a cable from an old screaming eagle race tuner. It was made by tts for harley. I bought the kit in 2006 and the cable came with it. I can't find out the part number from the breakdown because Harley purges them when they discontinue them.

I now have the Orange Screamin Eagle Pro Efi Super Tuner Pn 32109-08.

I don't want to have to order a $30 cable kit just to find out my data cable is the same thing.

Does anyone know if the pin to pin configuration is the same or did they change it?

I would rather not smoke a $300 part.

The difference between the 32109-08a and 32109-08b is:

1. The changed the circuit components to improve the communications with the ecm.

2. They have added a choke feature to it. I don't know if the choke feature is in the software for this model or in hardware.

Data rate for the Bluetooth is too slow.

I think you are probably safe with the cable you have, but I can't guarantee. The choke is a device that cuts downs RF interference.
