Wiring passing lights on Road King Custom

I put a set of passings lamps on my 05 Custom and and want wire them so they stay on all the time. Since my custom doesn't have a front fender tip light, can I use the wire behind the headlight that is for the fender tip light to get power? Is this to much drain on this circuit?

This is the diagram to make your passing lamps stay on with the high beams on a fairing bike. You should be able to do the same on your RK. May have to modify it a bit.

I just installed an LED headlight setup and am getting ready to re-wire my running lamps to stay on when on high beam, I am thinking about cutting the yellow wire and tapping into the ignition voltage (my red/black wire) so they're on in ignition mode only, not in accessory mode. I have not done this yet so I may find that I am missing something, am I? (Yes I was missing something, the red/black wire is not fused but after it gets fused, that circuit is a grey wire. See my following post).

FWIW, today I finally got around to wiring my LED passing lamps to stay on when LED headlight is on bright. I took off the outer fairing, found the yellow and grey (+12 only when ign sw is in ignition mode) wires on the right side of the radio. Cut yellow wire as per above diagram and Teed it into the grey wire. This way you do not have to remember to turn off the running lamp switch when in the accessory mode and you can still turn the running lamps off by using thier switch, works great.
