Default changed grips now no fuel pump.

i recently changed the grips on my 09 fat-bob and now bike wont start, the fuel pump wont come on to pressurize the system & the engine light does'nt come on ,the bike will crank but not fire. the fuel pump will run if i jump a wire from batt. to fuel pump fuse.

Yes but the fuel pump fuse gets powered from a relay that is activated by the ECM when it gets power from the RUN/STOP switch on the RHS controls

Sounds like you have pinched a wire when doing the RHS controls up.

So undo the RHS and check the wires first.........

Then check all your fuses especially the ECM fuse and check with a multimeter as visual just does not cut it sometimes.

Likely pinched a wire in the switch housing.

You might have checked them and you might have missed something.

It was working before you touched it and now it's not working so that suggests to me that you buggered something up and can't find the problem to fix it.

You might have to take it someone who can spot your mistake ha ha

Grips, themselves, don't change the grounding in the electrical system.
I understand you've checked eveything; have you checked the switch function with a meter? I have seen switches die when tampered with, even a little.
