I have searched, and cannot find a specific answer, or I did not try the correct question, but here goes.
I am building, from scratch, an 07 Road glide, custom bike. My engine is from an 07, and everything else is close to the same year. I need an ECM, and was wondering what to do. I have seen ECM units on ebay, but am told the TSM, or if security system is installed, the TSSM, needs to be married to the ECM, so I found a Road King unit set with the ECM, TSSM, and 2 fobs, so will that do what I need, without re-programming? Is the Road KIng the same ECM, or is it different? My bike has cruise and radio. Are they controlled by the ECM? How do aftermarket ECM units deal with that, if so?
