Sorry for your losses.
Both my parents are gone but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them and miss them.

My Dad got me started riding.
I was 7 years old in 1958 when he came home with a brand new BMW.
That's where it all began and I've been riding for almost 50 years.

They may be gone, but you will never forget the good times.
I have many good memories and I hope you do too.

Some where;
60s ford galaxie
60s fiat, wouldn't start in the cold, not around long.
64 t bird, parents were always afraid of the brakes locking up.
67 beetle, father taught me stick on this one, was a good car.
69 t bird, another good one my mom wouldn't let me buy "too much power"
74 amc wagon, learned to drive on this one, another good car.

We owe a lot to that generation.

My Dad (passed in 2013) was in the US Army in the Phillipines in WW2. My mom just passed this last October. They (like your folks were 'salt of the earth' as well.

I wonder how we will find our way with that generation slipping away.
