Everyone that has contacted me told me he was a great soldier and friend, this eases the pain somewhat. SSG Reeves was at the service, with a beard! He spoke of Scott riding in the first truck and that he was fearless. That's my boy. Love him and you. Ride safe.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln.
21st November 1864

This was on the back of a card that our Honor Guard presented to the family at every Hero’s service. I will not be one of those that says “I know how you feel” because I don’t. Just please know you are in my prayers as you continue on this journey.

My son was also a member of OEF and we lost him 4 months after he turned 30 so in honor of your son, I'm very happy to donate, so consider it done.

Cannot imagine the pain of losing a Son.

Yours certainly did you proud. I hope you can have as easy a day as possible remembering him.

As a father whom had buried a son i still have a big hole in my heart, always will. I feel your pain and wish it upon no one. Time does heal somewhat. Gone but never ever forgotten.
