Default My Brother James

My brother James has been fighting alcoholism for many years. His ex wife died about 6 months ago. This is when he really spiraled out of control. We ( me, older bro, and his GF) tried to get him to seek help. I found him dead Wednesday night.

James was a guy with the biggest heart when sober. We had so many great times. Had some terrible times too.

I will miss him greatly.

There have been many touched, and scarred by suicide on here. I'm sure they will reach out to you, and be a comfort to you. Hang in there.

Ya both me and my older brother are tore up. Just makes me want to shut my eyes and fast forward a couple years so the hurt will not be so sharp.

Sorry for your loss. Alcoholism is a cruel disease. It effects the whole family. I will pray for your brother and your family. God Bless you all.

Sorry to hear about your loss, unfortunately I understand first hand the pain of loosing a loved one to suicide. Its a few months past the nine year mark since I lost my son. The pain and guilt the first couple years was overwhelming. While the pain is still there it is just not as raw anymore. I have struggled for years to hold onto the good times we had and try let go of the the difficult ones. Time does not heal all wounds but it does allow us to learn how to live with the loss.
My thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
