The ring came with no papers on install of clutch drum. Which side goes towards the chain. the ring gear has a flat side and a beveled side. Thinking flat side goes toward chain side and beveled side towards starter. ?

 

I am not familiar with this. Hopefully someone will chime in with an answer. Meanwhile, it might help to post pics of the two sides.
