Default A happy, no problems thread...

Got my 60wt oil in the old Ironhead for the summer, and scrubbed the wheels with mag wheel cleaner and a toothbrush - cleanest they've been in years...:laugh

Rode to a vintage bike club breakfast early this past Saturday, and went for a nice ride out in the country afterward. The old bike is running fine. Next up are a new chain, new Russell drilled stainless rotors up front, and new front tire.

Where are you located? North Alabama? I'm thinking I saw you at bike night in Decatur a year or so ago. I had my ironhead there that night. There were only 2 old Harleys there. Everything else was Jap.

That was probably me. Sam's, right? Yeah, that bunch is pretty Kawasaki-centered, but I just keep showing up to events on the Sportster and slowly their opinions toward them are changing. Sometimes I ride my old Honda to show it off, though. A member of the vintage club showed up at breakfast in Huntsville last week on an '82 Sportster he had recently traded for...

Here's the Honda at a show in Athens a couple weekends ago.

Yup. It was Sams. I haven't been to bike night in a long time. Won't be there tonight for sure. I need to get over to Athens for their show too.

I don't make it to Decatur for bike night too often. Thursday nights aren't good for me, but I still try to make it about once every other month when the weather's nice. If you see me there, make sure to say hello.

Cool! Yes, I remember that you had a problem with it, Mick. Glad you're back on the road.
